OPTIMUM C

The air-curtain Optimum C has been designed specially to function in combination with a water pump Chiller. For this, use is made of proven technology from the refrigeration sector. The Optimum C is able to  deliver both hot air in the winter and cool air in the summer, as the air curtain operates in combination with a water pump Chiller. This means that, even during the coldest spells, sufficient hot air can be supplied to create an effective air curtain.

The Optimum C unit is connected to a water chiller that is provided by the customer. The standard package of an Optimum C unit consists of: air curtain with a thermoelectric 3 way valve, condensate tray, condensate pump, electronic controller. Optimum C units are suited for new installations as well as for retro-fitting.

The energy transfer of cold and warm water between the air curtain and the customer´s water chiller is managed by a drainage system that is also provided by the customer. This combination of air curtain and water chiller works independently of the existing heating and air conditioning system.

In addition to acting as an air curtain, the Optimum C can be used to optimize the indoor temperature. In the winter, the hot air from the air curtain ensures that no draughts arise at entrances; the heated air flow seperates the indoor space from the cold outside air and at the same time, the indoor air is heated. In the summer, the air curtain is used for cooling. In this case, the hot outdoor air is kept seperate from  the cooled indoor air, while the indoor air is cooled at the same time. By using the hot air flow in the winter and the cold air in the summer, mixing of air is prevented, thus resulting in considerable energy savings.
